By the way, there are already lots of imitations out there for this scooter. My wife says she has seen them as low as 50 bucks in some places. But I haven't seen one with front shocks yet, and that raises an interesting point. My first thought of these things was that if a child were to hit a small rock or something on the pavement, the front wheel would lock up and throw the rider over the handlebars. Not good. With the front shocks, I feel the scooter is safer in that it would likely absorb the shock of hitting something small on the pavement rather than just "freezing up" the wheel. It is ONLY because of this front shock that I am willing to let my daughter ride one....and I am willing to pay more for that feature.

FWIW
