Buckwheat: Thanks for the reference to the Sharky piece. "To paraphrase what an IT consultant once said to me, unless you have a compelling reason to recommend something other than Intel, you just cannot take the gamble of recommending something else. It's like the old line, "Nobody ever got fired for recommending IBM." The P4 bellyflop on top of the innumerable Y2000 PWeeiii false starts, I would think will do much to dispell the "no risk" notion associated with sticking with INTC...Looks like those CYA IT consultants could be eating AMD dust within 6 months, and looking for new jobs...
