Actually, I can't tell whether Gore is driving the recount effort or if the party is pushing it behind the scenes. As far as the strife with Congress, the House has been more partisan in the past decade than it's been since old Joe McCarthy was headlining in the 50s.... so that can't get much worse.

The Senate will remain more gentlemanly, per usual.

But it appears the USSC will get involved, to some degree, next Friday. It just gets curiouser & curiouser, eh?

I just heard the Palm Beach count has it down to 500+ vote margin for Bush, with 200,000 left to be counted.

Maybe Jefferson's right, that a revolution now and then, is a good thing...
