20 years back I spent a lot of time traveling to California fruit and nut land, Los Angeles. Also my best friend decided to transfer for an extended assignment with his family. He is an engineer like me. We were both living in Rhode Island. My friend had children in grammar and junior high school in California for about a year. He considered the public school to be one to one and a half years behind the schools in Rhode Island. I think he was staying in San Bernardino County.
