Capt: Help me understand something (please). I am long (don't laugh, please) COVD just 3k. It could be worse as I'm long (PSIX) and it's a gift that somehow I've made it so far this year (even with the COVD & PSIX drops) to be a tad over break-even, true I gave back a handsome profit that I had cashed in during the summer. I actually spent that profit and so all I'll see of it now is the Feds returning the estimated tax portion.

At any rate help me understand something(s): Why did I get into this mess in the first place ? For example, what the heck does COVD do ? Do they just install DSL in people's home(s) (& I assume some biz too) ? What else do they do ? Who uses their services ? I assume Earthlink uses their services, but do the various telephone companies use COVD's services ? In other words, who is COVD competing against ? Does COVD have to lease the line(s) from the various phone companies or does the ISP do that ? Just who is competing against COVD ? What am I missing ? What does COVD do that the phones don't (with regard to DSL install?). I'm having trouble understanding what exactly COVD does (what's the biz ?). Does COVD just do truck rolls ? Here's my problem: Let's say I was shopping for DSL, why would I select COVD over another vendor ? Does COVD work/service just for ISP firms and not directly with the consumer ?

You know, this thing of weak ISPs not paying their bills came out of nowhere.

Thanks
