Could be a bad board. I've seen DOA Asus and boxed Intel motherboards, so I'm sure there have been 1 or 2 from Gigabyte as well. But it's more likely that your RAM is bad. Try different memory, and/or try the memory you have in another board. Athlon systems need average memory or better. Very slow RAM (10ns CAS 3 PC100) is a bad choice in an Athlon system.
