Ahhh WIN - the big conundrum

Believe your correct Jacques - hard to strike down the three white soldiers appearing on the charts now:

litwick.com

You miss that run? At least you made some money off of it.

Short a few shares - 200 @ 14.25 I believe, another 100 at 15.30, 15.75, and 16.10 - so in total I'm down roughly a 1000 on this play. No big deal but when you consider I was holding 1500 at 9.75, the loss is by far well over 10,000 in retrospect :(

Fundamentals for this stock do not look good at all for the short term:

1) CIBC lowers 52-wk target from 200 to 25
2) WIN warns of upcoming revenue falling short of the expected 80 million for '01 by more than 45%
3) OFDM slow in developing any kind of foot hold on the wireless market
4) Company initiating a law suit

My thoughts:

What was expected here at most was a bounce off the bottom of 8.55 and then the stock to trip up even further. It's the normal recourse seen in similar scenarios throughout the entire year, but the market rallied around it and the charts took hold. Still a believer in the fact that WIN will sell-off soon - the latter part of Mon. perhaps, but the three white soldiers suggest otherwise - and will not at all be afraid to strengthen my short position between 18 & 20. Profit taking is going to hit it after a 50% plus bounce to the upside at some point.

Took a quick look at MLT... nice chart and probably a good play Mon. provided it doesn't gap up.

I'm thinking we're back to reading charts now that the market is stabilizing somewhat. No better time to trade.
