Is this post of yours responsive to my thought experiment?

I have nothing but contempt for Jesse Jackson and don't feel like even discussing him, but are you sure he called those voters stupid? He's for Gore, and most of them were Gore voters, and he's a results-oriented thinker, so it's confusing.

Did Wexler call them stupid? Wasn't his complaint about the ballot design, not the voters? That was the ballot-design issue, not the chads issue, wasn't it? An interesting topic, but not this one, is it?

I may be wrong.

Is there any doubt that hundreds of people voted for Buchanan who thought they were voting for Gore on that ballot, though?

Or are you saying simply that you doubt that hundreds of them called up hysterical? I would agree, that strikes me as unlikely unless organized, too.

You think shows of hysteria and indignation aren't being organized by both sides?
