>>>>>I would think an overall suit was dropped to challenge each county separately?<<<<

If you watched any of the proceedings regarding this matter you would have noticed that the questions that the judge kept asking the Bush lawyers indicated that his view of the law in this matter was that all votes received after the 7th shouldn't be allowed. This is why Bush tucked his tail between his legs and decided he would have a better chance of finding a sympathetic shoulder if he filed a case in all of the separate counties. Why on earth would he file in all of those separate counties when he had it in a court which was going to rule on all of those counties at once.

My view of the matter of which overseas ballots parallels that of one of the republican counties. They said they counted all ballots received by the 10th even without a postmark.

It looks to me like Bush followers want to count ballots which had no postmark, signature, date, voter registration number, or witness no matter when they were received. I think there is more to come out about these overseas ballots and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of them were never overseas at all.

This matter is another case of the republicans doing their 180. Last week they were yelling that is the law, that must be obeyed even though the law wasn't clear in any way regarding the deadline that Harris set for certifying the ballots. This week they are going against what Harris said regarding the overseas ballots. She said all ballots received after the 7th must have a postmark. One thing is for sure though, they have gotten good mileage out their absurd claim that Gore is trying to prevent the military heroes to vote. Why haven't we heard them say anything about the veterans whose votes sit in a pile in Dade county which may never be counted.
