If you watched any of the proceedings regarding this matter you would have noticed that the questions that the judge kept asking the Bush lawyers indicated that his view of the law in this matter was that all votes received after the 7th shouldn't be allowed.

Zonk, I saw the proceeding. The judge in this case was clearly not listening to the arguement by the Bush attorneys.
The "rule of law" is being undermined by those empowered to enforcing the law. They have themselvses to blame.
