Zonk: Your analysis is sound. Fact of the matter is the followers of mini-George would embrace anyone for president ... even Daffy Duck ... as long as it's someone other than Clinton or Gore. The Repubs could have selected someone other than D-Dubya-I, but they made their choice ... and soon they may have to live with it. George is like Ebenezer Scrooge in that he has many ghosts from his past lurking about that may come back to haunt him. I have little regard for any person who essentially "wastes" the first 30 or so years of his life and then all of a sudden wakes up at age 35 or 40 and says "I've changed forever!"
