<<Not unique to Florida by any stretch, since Gov. Bush signed few years back a similar (and even more liberal) law in Florida>>
You are just repeating what the democrats are saying. I don't care what Bush signed or did not sign. I just cant accept that the rules are made as they count. PBC changed its rules halfway thru the count. That is ridiculous.
As for broward, every time the republican representative refuse to count a vote, the 2 democrats accept it and the vote is counted. you said: The lady commisioner, sometimes get "over zealous", but so far, in such cases, I have seen Lee (a Democrat) voting with the Republican against her This only confirm my point that these counts are completely subjective. Imagine having 2 or 3 "overzealous" counter instead of one, is this the democracy we really want ? I prefer to have machine counts, if some "older people" votes that are not counted, at least they will be from both sides.
As for Dade, the board first said no recount, than changed his mind and decided to do one (I am not saying under pressure as you are), than changed his mind again and said they do not have enough time. To suggest that they were intimidated is "demagogue", unless you thing they are liars, but then, how would you trust them to count the final vote that will determine the next president ? |
