Kevin, I would hope that a national popular vote Presidential election would include safeguards such as: 1. A very simple ballot and voting method that is the same in every state and designed for foolproof machine counting with NO provision for hand recounting. 2. The election result will be reported on election night with NO provision for challenges. The system must be designed to correct the current system flaws and hopefully not create new ones. The outcome of the current election will be in question for the next four years, no matter who finally gets the job. Let's try to avoid ever going here again.
