In my mind this is the most important case the US SUPREME court has heard since Roe vs Wade. In that mix of the court we have judges who tend to wards judicial activism and those who are strict constitutionalists. The task they have is very grim indeed and I do not envy their task. I hope that they do not shrink from their duty. What we have here is the case of Al Gore who feels that he has the right to change the election laws of Florida and he makes a powerful argument for that right. On the other hand you have GW who believes that he won the election and that lawyers are attempting to steal that victory and he makes a powerful case. Actually I heard the press call him George Bush the president elect.

That they need time for the clerks to dig up all past precedents is critical. IF they shrink from this duty than they lose all respect from myself and the people they are charged to serve. This has unfortunately become a legal matter beyond the so-called will of some people vs the will of others and it must be resolved. The buck stops there
