isopatch, I want to show what I believe to be a bald-faced lie made by Al Gore's campaign tonight. This really chaps me! Look at this quotation from a CNN article tonight on the ongoing controversy about all of the disqualified military ballots: "Ginsberg said in a news conference that "prodded by Democratic lawyers, some county boards have sought to evade bipartisan calls to count overseas military ballots by raising procedural issues concerning venue, challenging the court's jurisdiction and posing other obstacles." Representatives for Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore have denied urging that any military ballots be discarded, saying they had simply advocated that canvassing boards follow the law." OK, my college roommate at Stanford, undergraduate days is the Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party in a major western state. He is also an attorney and an expert on election law. He in fact gave me a couple of weeks ago before the election a copy of the "cheat sheet" the Gore Campaign prepared in order to disqualify absentee ballots en masse if possible since they tend to favor Republicans. This was in fact a well-planned, well-coordinated far ahead of time effort by Mssr. Gore to suppress absentee ballots whererever possible. Joseph Goebbels must be looking up from Hell and smiling at Al Gore's propaganda machine. This statement tonight IMO is a flat out lie. (I'm sure that he'll claim that his Campaign was misquoted if confronted). Guys/gals I took only a few Psychology classes and surely am no expert on personality profiles. But does anyone else out there see what I think I see in Al Gore's psychological profile? Is anyone else bothered out there by these unethical tactics?
