Rob, the market's recent 70% markdown of idti is perplexing. Trying to understand what the market has signaled may be worthwhile.

Idti's stock price has behaved as though the semiconductor cycle peak is imminent and consequently FY 2002 will represent idti's peak earnings. If this is a flawed premise and idti's earnings continue to grow beyond next year, idti stock price has considerable upside potential. If the premise that earnings will peak in 2002 at the consensus $3.50 to $3.75 is correct then forward price projections are fuzzy because the depth and length of the slowdown are unknown. My thinking is that today idti is significantly undervalued unless a deep and protracted slowdown is on the horizon.
