Bernard- So it is confusing(at least to me). Thanks for clearing part of it up. If I'm not mistaken we have:

W-OFDM is a wireless LAN technology that no one seems to dispute that Wi-LAN(the company) developed.

Code Based-OFDM is a wireless LAN technology for which Wi-LAN is now suing Cisco(via Radiata) for.

Vector based-OFDM is strictly a fixed broadband wireless(MMDS) access technology being promoted by Cisco(Clarity) of which there are no patent disputes.

And you mention that:

xOFDM is even being considered for a broadband mobile wireless solution(4G?). I think I've read of experiments about xOFDM being used in the mobile broadband wireless world, but they were having problems getting past walking speed. Is this what you are referencing when you say 4G services?

If you can correct or verify my OFDM comments above I think I'll FINALLY have a basic understanding of where each iteration belongs. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)
