I stand corrected.
In any case I believe Gore should concede now. It's in his interest if he plans to fight another day The only way he can end up the victor is by Florida Supreme court intervention and that is both very unlikely and would be a disaster if done. Apparently the Florida Supreme Court believes that they were deliberately misled by Democratic party lawyers regarding the decision in Illinois re: dimpled chads. It is time to fold up the tent. We know that more people went to the polls in Florida to vote for Gore than Bush but in our system that does not matter now. Gore got a good shot with a two county recount and lost. The Broward folks even went much too far in counting dimples and still no overturn of the Bush lead. Palm Beach is giving us a much more realistic story of how much Gore should gain and it is just not enough. And the Miami recount just didnt happen and regardless of stupid democratic party charges of facism, that happened because of time constraints.
If it doesnt stop here and now we probably will have a constitutional crisis, a stock market debacle and thus a recession to be laid at the feet of Al Gore. Does he care? It is time to prove it.
