Bush must be putting huge pressure on Republican officials. I just heard Arlen Specter interviews asking that Gore does not engage in contest after certification. When a reporter asked him if Bush will abstain from engaging in a contest if Gore gets the vote, he said, that is different. After all, Bush is already in "post certification" contest through contesting the manual count in the US supreme court. I was quite disappointed by this duplicity, since Specter is a favorite Republican of mine, he has joined the like of my own Senator Smith. The pressure on Specter must be tremendous for him to act so much unlike the principled self he usually is. Zeev Zeev
