mishedlo... It's amazing how two people can look at the same painting and see two entirely different paintings and what the artist was trying to convey. You said... "Bush signed a law that essentially says manual recounts take precidence over machine counts and requires the counting of ballots with dangling chads and may include looking at ballots to decide intent." True, but the TEXAS law has guidelines that are set as to what is permitted in making a determination, which does not include dimples, pimples or pregnants. Florida has no guidelines and they make them up as they go along. You forgot to mention this bit of information when you referred to the TEXAS law. You said... "He was offered a chance to manually recount the entire state, both by Gore and the Supreme Court of Florida, turned it down IN PRINCIPLE, now complains bitterly about only the Democcrat counties being recounted." Gore had no authority to make such an offer. It was not up to him. This was a smoke screen. The court did not offer him an entire state recount. One of the judges asked if it was his intent to look for a state wide recount. His attorney said "no". You said... "They have the adaucity to acuse the democrats of hypocricy, when they have shown to be far bigger hypocrites." So I take it that you are saying that the Democrats are just hypocrites while the Republicans are "bigger" hypocrites? You said... "Tries to hype up the emotions of the nation by demanding after the fact counts (against Florida law) of EVERY overseas ballot, yet wants to stop recounts that in any way shape or form may benefit the Democrats" Why is it that in some counties the military votes without postmarks were allowed, while in all the Democrat counties they were not? I could go on and on to tear down your straw house but I'm not going to do that. Instead I'm going to offer a solution. First throw out ALL the military ballotsand allow all foreign country ballots regardless of postmark. Then we should do a FIFTH (and in some cases a sixth) hand recount in the three Democrat counties that were selected by Gore. Include all dimpled, pimpled and pregnant ballots regardless of number of such marks as long as just one mark appears on Gore. Keep all the illegal ballots that were cast for Gore by felons, which they are doing at present. By doing these things, we will then be able to determine who the real winner is. I'm sure that this will meet with your approval along with other Democrats. Of course we could run into one problem... Bush still leading... we will then have to call for a SEVENTH hand recount!
