Barry,

Fascinating news. I guess all the leftists who believe all our rights vest in the government are getting upset because someone has dared to assert some free will, namely the right of contract.

To make things more interesting, Intel has NOTsaid they will not extend the DEC agreement, merely that they have a right to.

I wonder if the opinion of that "prominent anti-trust attorney" is just as good as the opinion of the patent "experts" du jour, who declared [with no evidence that I could discern] that Intel was "possibly" infringing? Perhaps he is not aware that DEC has now allegedly violated a contractual agreement, by failing to return Intel's property? I wonder if he can cite a similar case, in which a company is mandated by anti-trust law to enter into a contract with another party which has violated a prior contract? [Of course, the attorney's statement was nebulous anyway, so its all academic.]

Anyone want to start a pool on how long Palmer lasts?

Best regards,

Arno
