G&K Thread Personal Portfolio Survey
It’s time for the Thread Portfolio Survey, or as UF likes to call it, the Parade of Portfolios. This is traditionally done in April and November. Prior Surveys can be found at:
November 1999: Message 12130960
April 2000: Message 12130960
Rules for this month’s Survey are as follows:
1. We want full participation of all G&K hunters. Active participants and lurkers alike are encouraged to join in.
2. As in April 2000, we’ll ask participants in this Survey to answer 2 questions.
3. The first question is, “What do you own?” List your aggregate portfolio holdings in percentages. If you have more than 1 portfolio, lump all portfolios together, and list individual equities (only) by their percentage weight amongst your holdings. Only present 1 single portfolio for the Survey. This will simplify and standardize data enrollment. After all, we don’t want any pregnant chads subject to interpretation.
4. Do not give options, or mutual funds or other, with the exception of QQQ. Lump all non-equity holdings in the category as “cash”. We’ll consider these expendable, so that one’s portfolio will be strictly listed as equities and cash, only.
5. For the 2nd question, answer this, “What was your single largest mistake in 2000, and why do you think it was a mistake? For those of you, such as Tekboy who might have an entire laundry list, list just your single biggest boo boo!!!!!I I probably won’t be able to quantify the answers to this question in the Survey, but it might be instructive for all participants to hear what people think constitutes a mistake.
6. The Survey will run from November 27th, Monday, beginning at 00:01 AM, to December 1st, ending at Midnight Friday evening.
See my next post for an example of how to cast your ballot, without chads.
Best to all, Apollo |
