I try to peruse a wide variety of sources, mostly print media. In the course of this daily exercise, I encounter articles reflecting many different points of view. Sometimes the piece is presented as a "straight" news story, other times as an "opinion" piece. It has been my experience that the standard of objectivity for straight news stories has been slipping for some time. Too often, it is easy to discern the reporter's opinion before the end of the 2nd paragraph.
