Rocky,

In an earlier post today (post #23547), I made reference to statistics that there are about 21 - 22 M short shares currently in IOM. Do you have any idea what the numerical ratio of IOM shorts to longs is? In other words, what percent of the outstanding IOM positions are shorts?

I would think that what ever it is, there would be a similar ratio of short to long comments on this thread. That is, a representative number of comments here would reflect the extent of the short/long positions in the overall market. If not, then why not?

Without knowing the actual numbers, I would venture to guess that the shorts are under-represented in this forum. Assuming this to be the case, I would further guess that the reason could be that those who might otherwise be willing to offer short views, hesitate to do so for fear of catching the type of flak you have caught.

"In short", so to speak, it seems to me, that with 20+ M short shares out there, more of the people holding such positions would be posting here.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Ice
