OK, Ron. Here's the quote from Begala.

LBJ knew. When he signed the Civil Rights Act he put his head in his hands and told his press secretary, Bill Moyers, “I’ve just given the South to the Republicans for a generation.”

Now, I dare you to tell me again that you read it and that it was Begala who said LBJ had handed the South to the Republicans. It's a direct quote from LBJ, for heaven's sake. And dontcha think LBJ would know?

Sheesh! X, do you have room for me on that bandwagon?
