Baker major points: Gore vow broken, lawyers go home, Bush won all counts

1. Gore promised if he lost the recount process, he would concede... spineless Gore is showing his colors and low integrity... it will get worse

You know, he said if the recount were done fair and accurately. Harris cut off the manual recount from PBC, so that's not an actual fair and accurate vote count. You can expect Gore campaign to challenge this, as if FL state law allows a manual recount, why not allow adequate time to complete it? They will also challenge Miami-Dade for failing to proceed with manual recount, as inadequate resources are no excuse.

It's too bad the simple, central issue is never part of the Republican campaign rhetoric: That every vote does indeed count, unless your county or the Sec. State hasn't the time to count it.

2. no presidential election has been contested before the courts... let us not permit lawyers and courts settle this... the lawyers should go
home
(smart comment since Americans hate lawyers)

Very smart indeed, but is beneath the stature of a man like Baker. Appealing to the average Joe's disdain for lawyers - That's a really good one coming from Republicans! It's be funny if it weren't so transparently duplicitous. The common man supporting Republicans. LMAO!!

You know what's funny? If Harris were a democrat, she would've found adequate reason to allow PBC a few more hours to complete the manual recount. But she's not.

Here's something else: I think we can assume fairly confidently that a Bush win is good for the market, at least in the short term. But considering that possibly 4 US supreme court justices will be nominated by the next president, justices who will determine the limits of YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM, what would you say if they turned back ROE vs WADE? Think Gore or Bush nominees are more likely to do this? You can bet your freedom BUSH nominees would.

Some of those Justices will be there interpreting the Constitution long after BUSH and GORE are laughing on vacation together in Palm Beach.
