There are 500 points separating them- and Gore won the popular vote. Only ONE county was manually recounted- I fail to see why Gore should be graceful.

The people have spoken and they could not make up their mind. Both men want this office and would probably sell their mothers to get it. I don't see much difference between them or their tactics- I think all the votes in Fl should be recounted (manually) in ALL the districts (this would make BOTH candidates miserable- and so it MUST be the right thing to do)- Republican and Democrat, and all the military votes that can be authenticated (with valid social security numbers, etc) should be counted- and then the American people could at least be satisfied that the best efforts had been made. This process has been slipshod and reeks of unfairness and partisanship on BOTH sides.
