Let's see what the Supreme Courts have to say about this. Bush people are celebrating but all they got today really was a Bush stooge (Harris) doing what was expected of her and not even trying to count Palm Beach. Therefore the only thing that matters now is whether the Sunday deadline will be upheld by the same judges who made it to begin with. The deadline is really ythe main issue because otherwise Miami-Dade would be re-counted as well (as was Gore's right to demand) and Gore would probably be ahead. This is why the GOP is trying to end this right away. They know that further recounts could quickly qipe out Bush's lead. Nomatter who ends up in office 40-50% of the people are going to feel ripped off here. Bush can only claim full legitimacy when preaching to the choir. If he were in Gore's shoes he'd be yelling foul and wanting every vote recounted. An understandable yet totally hypocritical strategy. Republicans, don't celebrate yet. What happened tonight was simply a repeat of what happened in the past with only one additional county recounted (Broward).
