There really seems to be little left for the courts to decide. And my guess is that the U.S. Supreme Court will vote not to get involved in altering a state certified vote in any way. . . and I believe they will be light handed in dealing with the laws which govern elections, etc. . . favoring to leave most of the power at the state level.

The Florida State Supreme Court could alter Florida law to allow Dade and Palm Beach county to complete a hand recount. Then if Gore is finally shown to be ahead, it would fall on the courts laps to reverse the certification by the state of Florida.don't know about other counties, in Miami-Dade Gore picked up 157 votes when they stopped the manual recount. If you extrapolate that partial results to the rest of the votes in the county, Gore might have more than enough to over come the 537-vote gap certified tonight.
