<ot>Hi Carl - with the amount of lawsuits, it is indeed hard to say. So do you think Sec Baker scored any point by saying lawyers, go home? Considering the Bush camp filed many suits just the same :)?

I ve not seen anything about 394 ballots yet, but I am still in the holiday mode. If you ve some tangible, I appreciate it. I wouldn't want to jump the gun when the accusation has come from the Bush camp. Not that I question your trust in it, but crying fraud is the modus operandi for it during the post election campaign.

Your conjecture does take me by surprise though. I mean, as far as the absentee ballots are concerned, it has always been the Bush camp wanting to count more, or, beyond technicality. So, if indeed these batch of ballots are for the Gore camp, they will no doubt stand out like a sore thumb

I don't know this was a better country 40 yrs ago. Yes, the JFK's famous speech is indeed timeless and unparallel. And indeed, JFK personal life was fairly much respected, but President Clinton's has become a bloodsport. So, from the angle, it was indeed the good old days. OTOH, I don't know people like Wen-Ho Lee would be able to get out of jail --- no matter how undignified the treatment he received while he was there may be --- if it happened 40 yrs ago.

best, Bosco
