I was only being a little facetious. Of course he is capable of the same ruthlessness Gore is, but I don't think his temperament instinctively tells him to trash and demonize his opposition. It apparently comes naturally to Gore.


You're quite right -- the Bushes have always known how to hire the Lee Atwaters of this world, and pretend they themselves know nothing of the tactics employed. Remember South Carolina?
