I do not "ride" with Clinton or Gore or Bush or anyone for that matter. I think that Clinton is a smart, slick guy who got his hand caught in the cookie jar one too many times and used his Bubba charm and legalese to wiggle out. Aside from that, he did an ok job and didn't make any huge policy mistakes (though letting the military get to such low point is certainly not good). Gore, on the other hand, is just not leadership material, that is why he lost. Anyone with half a personality could've beat Bush. I just take issue with all the people here who think Bush is the second coming... It sounds like christian white boy revenge. They liked it the way it was, when all the rules favored them, and they want to turn the clock back... Besides, I am admittedly an intellectual elitist, and I really do think that Bush's intellegence is lacking. On the bright side, I think he knows it too and will rely on others to do the heavy lifting.
