Platforms Wireless Announces ARC System Premiere U.S. Demonstration
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Platforms Wireless International Corporation (OTC:PLFM), the developer of the revolutionary Airborne Relay Communications "ARC System" for wireless voice and data communications, announced today it intends to conduct the ARC System Premiere Demonstration in the United States on Monday, March 5 and Tuesday March 6, 2001, prior to the shipment of the System to Brazil for its scheduled demonstration to Americel S.A.
The critical ARC System demonstration will be performed on two days at the Composite Optics (COI) anechoic test chamber at the COI Test Range in San Diego, California. The ARC System will be installed on the anechoic chamber test tower, and a comprehensive battery of test phone calls will be performed to demonstrate the ARC System's full range of commercial wireless telecommunications capabilities, operating in a faithfully simulated aerostat infrastructure environment, stationed at 10,000 to 15,000 feet above sea level.
William C. Martin, Chairman and CEO stated: "We are pleased to announce the achievement of this important milestone for our Company. The planned ARC System U.S. demonstration scheduled to take place in March of next year, will be a landmark Wireless Industry event. This demonstration will allow us the opportunity to present and demonstrate the ARC System to the international wireless communications community, and to members of the international press at one of the most technologically advanced communications test centers in the world. We expect the demonstration will conclusively validate the unique capabilities of the ARC System and establish Platforms as the world leader of the Airborne Wireless Communications Industry Sector."
Platforms expects the ARC System demonstration will be attended by officials of international telecommunications companies, investment bankers, PLFM shareholders, members of the international press, and representatives of various related wireless industry market sectors. The ARC System demonstration will be conducted at a COI secured area, and access is on a special-invitation-only basis. A major turnout is expected and we would appreciate early notification of requests for passes to attend the demonstration.
Further information on schedules, location maps, and ARC System demonstration show times will be published in the next few weeks. For further information on the demonstration, and to arrange for passes to attend the demonstration, please contact Brad Meyer of FOCUS Partners at 212-752-9445.
