You can cry and whine all you want to, but the reality is that the election canvassing board in Miami-Dade County, comprised exclusively of Democrats, voted to stop counting the votes when they discovered they could not gain sufficient numbers to overcome Bush's statewide lead. This was AFTER they rushed to count the HEAVILY DEMOCRATIC precincts FIRST. The only votes left to count in Miami-Dade county were in precincts that strongly favored Republicans. Therefore, they stopped counting in order to leave an aura of uncertainty around the election. (e.g. So they could continue to slander the legitimacy of Bush's victory by saying, "we didn't finish counting the votes or Gore would have won!") Democratic statisticians have concluded Gore had received the maximum number of votes possible in Miami-Dade, and it simply wasn't enough. Gee, that's too bad for you.
