I've been watching NEM and FCX, Jane. Nice recovery off of the bottom. Let's see if it sticks this time. If NEM was an OSX stock, I'd sell it off about here (too much gain too fast). Not being too familiar with trading/price patterns of gold equities, I can't help but notice that the 2 year chart of NEM resembles a row of sharks teeth - with markedly jagged peaks and troughs. Will hold for now.

Back to the patch, I've noticed that NE seems to be selling off on higher than normal volume the last several days. It may be that a large fund is unloading. I flipped NE over once last week, looking for more action on further weakness.

Looks like the Nasdaq now losing steam while energy starting to move into the black. The Post Postrol indicator once again may have signaled an inflection point.
