Buckwheat: "The best news we could get is that AMD has done something to reduce and control its greatest risk (INADEQUATE AND UNTIMELY INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT). Wonder how much a SIS or ServerWorks type company would cost them? I think SIS actually has some in-house fabrication capability too." Not too sure. Products of their partnering efforts over the past year in much more dire circumstances than those being experienced by AMD today seem to be surfacing...One year ago AMD was producing 800,000 Athys per quarter compared to the current rate of about 6 to 8 million...Ironically, just when it all seems to be coming together, is when AMD seems to be taking it on the chin...Their very positive partnering accomplishments over the past year point to a price $20 above $40, not $20 below...
