Polls Indicate Gore Losing Support

(CNSNews.com) - Democratic operatives for Vice President Al Gore would be wise to pay attention to the latest public opinion polls that indicate Americans are growing impatient with the battle for the White House, one political analyst said. At stake is Gore's political career, said Marshall Wittmann, a senior fellow with the Hudson Institute, and possibly the fate of the Democratic Party in future elections. Spokespeople for Senate Minority Leader Thomas Daschle (D-SD), House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO), and the Democratic National Committee could not be reached for comment on the current presidential election process and the recent surveys that showed Gore was losing the support of the American people.
