You too??? Any factual positive news related to the Athy/DDR combo might just get AMD over $40 a lot faster than we'd think possible amidst today's, (and for that matter, the past 4 months) gloomy price declines, zero portion of which is supported by any weakening in company fundamentals...Stranger things have happened...Any number of potential events could kickstart AMD's ascent including confirmation of availability of retail quantities of 1.2 gig Athy/DDR combos, takeover attempt as flash division alone has to look enticing at today's $19, mass demand by investors who recognise AMD's ridiculously low valuation at $19, Dell endorsement owing to their vaccuum between 1 and 1.4 gigs, general pickup in PC demand or a positive company release reasserting Q4 objectives are on target...(At $19-1/2, the market seems to be suggesting that sequential Q4 revenues will decline significantly and that Q4c earnings will be negative...I just don't see either happening...In fact, I'm looking for a 5th successive record breaking revenue and earnings quarter to be posted in about the second week of January, which if so, would support a retest of $48.50,AMD's previous all-time high, I would think... |
