*OT* SbH - Another factor in Bush's not asking for a recount in those counties where he ran well ahead of Gore is that a majority of the rejected ballots came from precincts in which Gore did well. So even in his strongholds, he might have ended up losing more of his lead.

I don't know whether that was truly the case but I did read or hear that last week.
