Agreed. The lawsuits were too little too late. The industry was already phasing them out by the time the lawsuits would ever get settled. The YoY revenue growth and tortured financial statements speak for themselves.

IMVHO, the entire software industry is going to be in a world of hurt. As the economy slows, price wars are going to start. I think the only software that can continue to command high margins is the custom built stuff. I'm not talking about an Oracle DB, I'm talking about a company paying a consulting firm or developing in house. Some of the niche stuff should do OK if no other players enter the market. But anything that can be commoditized will be.
