Pierre:

Thanks for relaying the message from G*. Good news regarding the smaller antennae.

As for VOD, I've said for a long time now (a year?) that VOD either doesn't know how to sell G* or doesn't want to. Clearly VOD knows how to sell cellular, etc., so that's probably not the answer. I was mocked and then ignored when I said that perhaps VOD doesn't want to sell G*, but it seems to be the case.

What could VOD's motives be? Imo, if true, there's only two likely motives:

1. They don't want G* to survive. In essense, they are forfeiting their equity investment in G* (as well as lost profits on selling G* service) for "some" reason. "Some" reason may be the elimination of a competitor (both in the US and overseas) or internal power struggles (see my previous post on compensation of middle management).

2. They don't want G* to succeed yet. Why would that be? Perhaps they don't want to change alienating current subs who migrate to G* who turn out to be unhappy with G* service. Unlikely since G* is delivering as promised on the technical front. More likely is that VOD wants a bigger chunk of the G* pie vis-a-vis a pre-packaged BK.

Any other opinions?

As always, all imo. I'm not short G*, so please don't allege it.
