The Kyocera Palm phone probably won't hit high sales numbers but hopefully much better than the PdQ brick. At 7 oz. I think it hits the scales at a nice weight considering the size of the screen. The price will be high also but for someone like myself who wants the Palm device also, cost will be reasonable. I imagine if royalties on the MSM are calculated on the entire ASP of these expensive devices, sales would not need to be huge to add considerably to Q's bottom line.

I wonder if Qualcomm's Mobile Station Processor 1000 (MSP1000™) will power the Palm side of this device? That could be a significant new source of revenues for Qualcomm (Spinco). Here's the MSP1000 press release, it says sample shipments are scheduled for 4Q 2000.
