If you look and listen closely, you begin to discern preferences of those members of the news media who are not as good at keeping their personal preference out of their coverage as others are.

Dan Rather - Gore
Tim Russert - Bush
Andrea Mitchell - Bush, and her preference is very thinly disguised
And Fox News leans so heavily toward Bush they should just change the name to the Bush News.
I've seen Bill O'Reilly really lay into some Democrats.

And that's not news. I have my own opinion and want news from the media. Just the news. Why do some of these anchors and television journalists venture into the opinion-giving arena anyway? When did they become qualified analysts? Having a personal preference doesn't constitute the right to substitute that for news coverage. From them I want only the news, from which I form my own opinion. Just the facts, ma'am.
