OT - SbH,

I know this sounds terrible, but it's entirely possible that a significantly larger percentage of the "easily confused" or "can't follow directions" voters tend to support Democrats. If you look at the demographics, the lower income segment of the population is overwhelmingly Democratic, and maybe part of the reason that they're low income is that they aren't as well-educated as higher income folks.

And I'm convinced that you're never going to get a fool-proof method of voting. If thousands of voters couldn't follow the arrows on the Palm Beach ballot, there will be an equal number who can't figure out a touch screen.

I think we just have to accept the fact that, nationally, 1 1/2 to 2% of the voters will always screw up their ballots and the election will be decided by the 98% who vote correctly.
