A quick summary of my Thanksgiving holiday weekend:
Actually, the macaroni and cheese was a substitution, not an addition. But at least it wasn't Kraft dinner. Children at the dinner did like the mac & cheese. Did the adults share the same opinion? Emphatically, no. Fortunately, the rest of the meal was terrific. Gladly we consumed our fill. Heavenly were the desserts. Intoxicating were the beverages. Jim, one of the guests, shared many funny stories from his youth in Philadelphia. Kind of an old fashioned Thanksgiving, I'd say.
Life here is pretty good. My family is looking forward to the holidays. Never a dull moment here. Our front yard is riddled with moles. Pesky rodents, I'd say. Quite a nuisance too.
Resting comfortably in my chair, I watched football all weekend. Something like seven games in three days. That is a lot of football. Usually I get bored and switch to basketball. Victoria, my sister-in-law who fixed the mac & cheese, did not mind my brother-in-law watching all that football with me. We watched the games while she shopped.
Xavier University was playing basketball on one of the cable channels, but we didn't watch that game. Yesterday I watched the Chiefs lose to the Chargers. Zero winless teams left in the NFL.
