Elwood;

A year or more ago, MC made the comment that his job was to get cpq turned around and grow earnings. If that is done, he said, the stock price will take care of itself. Well, here we are, a year and a quarter or more after MC took over cpq and the stock is lower now than when he took over the reigns in July of 99! In addition, if i recall correctly, MC bought 200,000 shares of cpq at around 26 (with borrowed money from cpq which either has been or will likely be forgiven) only to find that despite his progress the stock HAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF ITSELF. It certainly would be interesting to hear MC's comments and personal opinions regarding why this stock can't pull itself out of the crapper despite the turnaround!
