The HP systems were supposed to correctable with a bios update, but it may be that the problem is more that that, since a bios update is run from a floppy and takes less than 5 minutes to complete. It should have been easily corrected days ago, if that's all that there was to it.

Maybe the Robertson Stephens story was correct about manufacturing problems but they had the companies mixed up.
