can you analyze gold in simple terms of supply and demand? And does the lack of demand during the SE Asia crisis, or the 98 near melt indicate that gold cannot rally in some other crisis -- your sampling period seems rather short ... But let's suppose you are correct and let's further suppose (for the sake of argument only) that we are on the verge of some new financial crisis which isn't easily resolved -- where will funds flow if they come out of US stocks?
