I live in Mass., where after 11 yrs of Republican governors, the Boston Harbor is finally getting cleaned up; now in the final stages of rehab. Harbor seals, crabs, jelly fish, water fowl, and other species have finally returned to the inner harbor. Do I blindly credit Republicans with this progress? No.
Do I blindly blame Democratic Gov Michael Stanley Dukakis for blocking the cleanup, doing nothing but authorizing endless studies by overpaid, poitically-connected consultants, even though he had lots of Fed $$ avail to help back then, that has since gone away?? NO.
But I spend a lot of time outdoors, and it is clear that the Dem image as environmentally friendly has not been earned.
