No, they actually have to come up for a "retention" vote, if they don't get it, they are replaced. Apology accepted, it surprised me when I discovered it when this all started, but it was one of the first things I checked, in order to discover possible bias. Kinda like the judge hearing the case in Leon county. He used to be a Republican, now a Democrat. He was the "chief" judge, or whatever they call it, but was demoted by the other judges for making bad calls. The lead Florida attorney is listed as a reference on his C.V. So now we have a pizzed off judge, mad at the Repuplicans for slapping him down, great friends with the attorney of record. Something is rotten in Denmark.
